In June 2020 it was reported that at least 177 children had been tortured to death in the Syrian conflict.

The canvas depicts the children using match sticks to reflect that their light in this world was cut tragically short. The background is painted in white orchid with the word war inscribed in faint blue.

All proceeds from the series on Syria will go to the United Nations Refugee Agency's humanitarian appeal.
